Park Center is Fun to Explore

Continuing its Elmfest tradition for the 12th year in a row, the Elmhurst Park District’s Playground/Exploration Center provides free entertainment and fun play experiences for the whole family from its location on York Street south of Schiller Street.

Designed for children ages 2 to 7, the Park Center is a colorful, temporary playground consisting of slides, climbers, stairs, decks and a roof of resilient rubber surfacing for added safety.  These play pieces encourage interaction with other children and play in a safe setting, while expanding children’s imaginations through exploration.

In addition, the children may explore their creative side by completing a chalk art project or creating colorful combinations of sand art.  Participants may take these craft projects home as souvenirs of their fun experience at Elmfest.

The Elmhurst Park District again has coordinated the booking of all the free family entertainment at the adjacent Harris Bank City Centre Stage on York Street near Second Street.  Children and adults will be treated to a variety of musical, theatrical and dance performances thanks to Harris’ exclusive Silver Sponsorship.
