Climbing Wall, Micro Stock Car Racing and Pony Rides/Photos are among Elmfest’s Special Attractions

Thanks to the Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce & Industry and member businesses, Elmfest 2008 will include free family attractions such as a 25-foot Climbing Wall, Micro Reality NASCAR-Style Stock Car Racing, Pony Rides and Show Pony Photos—all located along York, First and Schiller streets.

Climbing Wall

For the seventh year in a row, Larry Roesch Chrysler Jeep is the exclusive Silver Sponsor of the Climbing Wall, which is owned and operated by the Lattoff YMCA.  The climbing wall will be open to the public on Friday, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.

 

Stock Car Racing

For a third year in a row, Micro-Reality NASCAR-style Stock Car Racing through will be available on Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Saturday from 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.

Pony Rides

Todd’s Pony Rides is open to the public on Friday from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 11:00 noon to 5:00 p.m., with Bronze Sponsor CARSTAR Elmhurst sponsoring on Saturday and the Chamber sponsoring on Friday and Sunday.

Show Pony Photos

Free Show Pony Photos will be taken on Friday from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m., Saturday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 11:00 noon to 5:00 p.m., with Festival Sponsor Kiwanis Club of Elmhurst sponsoring on Saturday and the Chamber sponsoring on Friday and Sunday.

Bean Bag Toss

For the ninth year in a row, the Elmhurst YMCA will sponsor a free attraction, bringing back the Bean Bag Toss for a fifth year in a row.
